ChemOne Group’s Senior Business Development Manager, Sanket Bothra, was invited to present the Group’s Green Energy and Decarbonization plan and discuss this question at Japan Energy Summit 2023. The global platform convened senior stakeholders from across the value chain; including Topsoe, HSBC, Hydrogen Council, Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Bloomberg NEF to discuss the most pressing questions affecting the energy industry.

Sanket shared Pengerang Energy Complex’s integration strategy with renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels downstream which has a strong potential to decarbonize the entire transportation industry, resulting in a 60-70% reduction in carbon emissions as compared to traditional fossil fuels.

The discussion also shed light on the role of industrial regulatory framework, the push for renewable fuels by Asian governments and policy makers and how key market players like ChemOne, ENEOS and other business players have the power to shape a more sustainable future for Japan and the world beyond.
